Overview

This position is responsible for managing and maintaining  audio, video, radio communications, LED screens, security systems and assisting with the managing of the A/V Network, TV systems, and broadcast infrastructure, while keeping documentation for these areas for the National Tennis Center.

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage aspects of site audio, video, and television systems including public address, video boards, information displays, LED displays, and assist with TV and broadcast infrastructure, as directed by the Senior AV manager. Work with vendors and contractors to ensure the preventative maintenance and upgrades of all systems.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting on-site A/V equipment, TV systems and project management of necessary repairs and upgrades.
  • Assist with the installation of video boards for the US Open as directed, working with vendors to plan and execute the yearly installation
  • Responsible for maintaining, coordinating the purchase, programming, and disbursement of walkie-talkies and other related communications equipment year round as well as for the US Open. Research and recommend upgrades of new equipment and hardware upgrades.
  • Serve as NTC Project Manager for the successful implementation of Arthur Ashe Kids Day (AAKD) for all A/V needs on site.

  • Work with Senior Manager, AV to develop plans for the acquisition, upgrade, and installation of the department's software and hardware applications.

  • Work with surveillance systems vendor to manage onsite surveillance systems, which include indoor and outdoor cameras, and burglar systems. Document and work to resolve all equipment malfunctions. Annually assess new systems needs and evaluate with Senior Director, Facility Operations and Director of Security.

  • Manage and maintain all site card access and key access systems. Ascertain employee access needs and assign with approval from department heads.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor in a related audio/visual or engineering field preferred
  • Knowledge in basic fiber optic cabling standards for large facilities.
  • AutoCAD and related programs with knowledge of wiring diagrams
  • Speaker equalization and live audio set up
  • Knowledge of IP address management and network set up.
  • Experience in surveillance and access control systems. Familiarity with Honey Well and Avigilon systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage outside consultants.
  • Demonstrated history of project management.
  • Position is considered onsite and site specific at the NTC
  • Position is considered exempt

Salary Range: $68,600 - 83,866.66
