The Role

We are seeking a Seasonal HR Coordinator to play a key role in building and supporting our 2026 US Open workforce. This position is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in Human Resources within a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

 

 

Duration:

Seasonal Role from May until September 13, 2026. 

 

Pre-Tournament Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Five days a week at the National Tennis Center, Queens, NY.

Flexibility required for occasional weekend events (e.g., job fairs)

 

Tournament Schedule (US Open period):

Up to 12-hour shifts, Monday–Sunday (7 days per week)

Must be flexible to work opening, mid, or closing shifts

 

  • Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and scheduling
  • Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and alignment with role requirements
  • Coordinate and manage interview logistics using applicant tracking systems (ATS), Google Calendar, and Excel
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to track candidate pipeline and ensure timely interview flow
  • Facilitate a positive candidate experience by managing onsite check-in, communication, and pre-interview preparation
  • Ensure compliance with employment eligibility requirements by reviewing and verifying I-9 documentation
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee records, ensuring completeness of all onboarding and employment documentation
  • Monitor and track documentation workflows, including follow-up on missing or incomplete forms
  • Support onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, uniform distribution, and orientation logistics
  • Assist with recruitment initiatives such as career fairs and hiring events
  • Provide front-line HR support to employees regarding policies, procedures, and timekeeping practices
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and data integrity protocols
  • Perform additional HR administrative duties as needed

Who You Are

  • Proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, particularly in talent acquisition and onboarding
  • Prior experience in high-volume recruiting or HR coordination preferred
  • Knowledge of I-9 compliance and employment documentation requirements is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Pay Rate: $19/hour (overtime eligible)
